Alan Southworth has been playing music all his life. As the son of musicians, he started taking piano lessons at age 7 and later took up bass and mandolin. During college, Alan sang with the Princeton University Glee Club and the Nassoons, Princeton's oldest a cappella group. With the Nassoons, he sang for royal families in Europe, at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and on the set of the 2013 film "Admission" starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd.
As a singer/songwriter, Alan cites musical influences including Michael Buble, Stevie Wonder, Adele, and John Legend. When he's not performing original music in NYC, Alan can be heard playing with his parents in CT or crooning Sinatra at holiday parties and cocktail hours.
If you tell Alan "don't quit your day job," he'll tell you about how much he enjoys his time as an energy market consultant in SoHo.
Stay tuned for the release of Alan's debut album later this year.
